Child rights

About 17  lakh children are living as child laborers in the country.    Education opportunity to girl children is denied and school-dropout is in  high rate.    Dalit and indigenous children are suffering with malnutrition and hunger and child trafficking is high.   Children of  Devadasi women are ill-treated, discriminated and subject for many forms of exploitation.

AARDIP is working for the development of children and establishing child labor rehabilitation centers.    Bala Samakhyas (child federations) are being promoted to discuss the issue of children and lobby with the government to protect child rights.   Devadasis’ children are sent to special schools where they are able to learn life-skills to lead dignified lives.
